James Cerulli III CEO
I am a senior business development executive with over thirty years of experience in advanced electronics, mechanical design, and the integration of complex weapon systems and unmanned vehicles. My career has focused on autonomous platforms, remote weapon stations, multi-domain vehicle systems, and turning engineering concepts into fielded and supportable operational capability.
Today, I serve as Business Development Director for Airborne, Land, and Sea Systems at FN America, where I lead U.S. systems portfolio strategy and customer engagement across DOD, OEMs, and government end users. I direct market strategy, system integration initiatives, trade show and capture activities, technical demonstrations, and compliance activities for FN medium-caliber systems, airborne pod and pintle mounts, and remote weapon station technologies.
Before joining FN America, I spent over twenty years at Maritime Applied Physics Corporation, leading engineering groups responsible for designing, building, and testing multiple classes of autonomous and tele-operated maritime craft — including several Greenough Advanced Rescue Craft variants and major unmanned surface vehicle programs. My background spans electrical system architecture, RF communications, composite hull structures, vehicle integration, C4I subsystem development, and program management for both military and commercial customers.
I began my career as an electronics technician, electrical contractor, and small business owner — hands-on work that shaped the way I solve problems today. I hold multiple technical certifications, I am a certified SolidWorks professional, and I am an FCC-licensed amateur radio operator. I continue to stay active across engineering tools, modeling platforms, RF instrumentation, and vehicle testing activities to maintain technical credibility and insight into emerging capabilities.
